Retrenchment
Announcement
Hello everyone. I have an important
announcement to make that will affect all of us. As you would have
heard, there were rumours being circulated among the team, about
retrenchment of certain members. It is with much regret that Kevin
has asked me to inform all of you about certain decisions made by
him in this regard.
Firstly, Kevin has taken over
as team manager, assuming all responsibilities with immediate
effect. I, myself was given a choice as to whether I want to
continue being on the team as an ordinary member or to exit the
team. Personally, I have chosen to stay on because I believe
wholeheartedly in this project and wish to see that this project
becomes a success. Lastly, we would like to inform you that that
your current positions in the team have been terminated with
immediate effect, as we have decided to bring in new faces to the
team and hopefully steer in it a new direction. I understand that
this may come as a bit of a shock to many of you, but the steering
Committee has decided it is towards a greater good. I would advise
you not to be disheartened by this decision and instead take the
past few weeks as a learning experience. Without much doubt, being
part of the six sigma team in this company would have enhanced your
knowledge of the intricate workings of a six sigma team.
It is with some satisfaction however,
that I wish to announce the members of the team who have all worked
hard over a period of time will be compensated duly to date.
Finally, I would like to say that it was great working with all of
you, and look forward perhaps to working on projects in the near
future.
